Friday Evening and Sunday Morning Swim Smooth Squads

Spaces available on both Sunday Squads

Our SwimSmooth squads currently train at the Godolphin school pool in Salisbury. We will be expanding our sessions into the New Forest area soon . If you can swim 200m of freestyle (continuous) why not come along and join us? We have lanes suitable for novice swimmers, improving triathletes and strong master’s swimmers. We’re famous for providing high quality sessions for all levels of swimmer using Swim Smooth’s coaching system. If you’ve attended a video analysis session with Steve (Click) or watched one of Swim Smooth’s award winning DVDs, you’ll already be familiar with many of the drills and skills we use during the sessions.

Each squad session is run by Head Coach Steve Bailey with assistant coach Sam also on the pool-deck giving you an unparalleled athlete-coach ratio.

Squad Structure And Sessions

In any given week we like to operate a regular cycle or structure which ensures that you know what to expect from each session and equally what benefits that session will give you from a fitness and technique perspective.

We operate three mini-squads within the overall structure running parallel to each other. These are our main  ”Squad Sessions”

This is what you can expect at the various sessions throughout the week:

You cannot overestimate the impact of an experienced Swim Smooth coach looking after your swimming in our friendly squad environment.

1. Friday 8:15 pm – 9:30pm: A technique session with a small group size, offering you the chance to come in and work on your stroke. This is not a big volume session, nor is it physically hard, but it does contain a lot of drilling and work on refining your efficiency in the water. A great way to end the week and particularly suitable to those who’ve recently done a 1-2-1 Video Analysis session.

2. Sunday morning squad sessions 8:00 till 9:00 and 9:00 till 10:00: These sessions will be starting up again on September 30th. These sessions are ideal to work on your swimming through the off season.
